Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, a mans heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. That doesnt mean you are not supposed to make plans and set priorities. But it does mean that on occasion, you will need to adjust your focus as God reveals His true purposes for your life.
You will then need to write down why its important for your objectives to be met, once your objectives are written down and listed. This is the way that youll know your true motivation for each of the goals you plan to achieve. As an example, your plan may be to have a solid 2nd income coming in from a Christian home business. Why? Maybe you would love to live without any debt or you would like the guarantee of having a solid 2nd income if anything should happen to your employment status or health.
The creation of the why will motivate you to continue on with your plans, even when things come up that could easily cause you to abandon your goals. Also, in order to achieve your dreams, its important to have a clear idea of what your objectives are and why they are worth achieving.
